Keynote Speakers
1. Prof. Chi-Yi CHANG – President at Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI)
Prof. Chang Chi-yi is an esteemed figure in the realm of design and education, currently holding the esteemed position of Dean at the Taiwan Institute of Design. His remarkable career spans diverse roles, including Director of the World Design Organization (WDO), Professor at the Institute of Architecture of National Chiao Tung University, and Vice Chairman of the Xuexue Cultural and Creative Foundation. Prof. Chang is also the Executive Director of the Taitung Design Center, a testament to his dedication to fostering creative environments. His past roles as Deputy Magistrate of Taitung County and Director of the Cultural Department have further enriched his leadership insights. Prof. Chang's extensive involvement extends to his role as General Secretary of National Chiao Tung University and Director of the Institute of Architecture there. He is also the driving force behind A+@Architecture Studio.
Throughout his illustrious career, Prof. Chang has contributed significantly to the field of architecture and design, with notable works including "Contemporary Architecture Conceptual Aesthetics," "European Charming New Architecture," and "Seeing North American Contemporary Architecture." Notably, he holds a Master of Design from the Harvard University School of Design (1994) and a Master of Architecture from Ohio State University (1992), reflecting his relentless pursuit of knowledge and expertise.
2. Prof. Lee Kwan Min – Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Professor Kwan Min Lee, Ph.D. from Stanford University, is a distinguished academic at the Huang Jinhui School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His contributions span a diverse spectrum, including user experience research and design, human-computer interaction, smart devices, interactive media, and virtual reality. Currently serving as a short-term Chair Professor in the Department of Communication and Technology at Yangming Jiaotong University, Prof. Lee's multifaceted expertise continues to shape the landscape of technology-mediated interactions.
3. Prof. Masyuki Otsuka –Dean, Kanto Gakuin University, Japan
Dean Masayuki Otsuka is a visionary in the realm of architectural environmental engineering, particularly in the domain of water supply and drainage sanitation equipment. Hailing from Shizuoka City, Japan, Professor Otsuka's profound expertise and experience have been a driving force in advancing these critical aspects of construction and environmental engineering. His deep understanding and knowledge in these areas make him a respected authority in his field.
4. Prof. Aloysius Yapp – Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman
Professor Aloysius Yapp stands at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements in technology and creativity. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Game Studies within the Faculty of Creative Industries at UTAR, he champions the integration of immersive technology, virtual reality, and gamification for a range of applications. Prof. Yapp's remarkable contributions extend to his role as Chair of the Center for Immersive Technology and Creativity, where he channels his passion for conservation and cultural heritage into innovative solutions.
